John Cyrus didn’t start making music at birth like everybody else. Sadly, Darin Cyrus Rajabian and Nathan John Klages didn’t meet until the sixth grade, and bonded over a love for popular music. Separately they achieved varied success with their own projects, Darin with Tonight and Nightlife, and Nathan with Nathan K. and Stepdad. Though these were their own projects, they always looked to each other for guidance and helped each other with songwriting, producing, mixing, and pushing each other to be better.
Eventually, it made sense to combine their strengths and John Cyrus was formed, borrowing each of their middle names. They relocated from rural Michigan to Nashville in hopes of more opportunities, though, as usual, they found the most opportunity in their home studio where they remain inspired by each other to create something of lasting value.
